No longer where a Houston dog goes. Since the transfer, loose and missing dogs are handled through the Borough shelter near Palmer, which is a considerably longer drive and a good reason to have a recall that works.

Borough Title 24 applies inside Houston city limits. The transfer happened under Houston Resolution 25-18 and Mat-Su Borough Ordinance 26-03, effective 2026-07-01.
