These terms apply to your use of dogtrainingak.com, the website of The Dog Savant, operated by Brett Endes in Anchorage, Alaska. They cover the website only. The terms of any training you book are agreed directly with Brett and are not set by this page.

The content here is general information

The guides, service descriptions, and answers on this site are general information drawn from thirty years of professional training experience. They are not a behavior plan for your specific dog, because writing one requires seeing the dog.

Dog behavior involves real risk, particularly with aggression. Techniques described here are written for the situations they describe and may be wrong for yours. If your dog has bitten someone, has threatened to, or is a danger to itself or others, get hands on professional help rather than working from a website. That applies to this website as much as any other.

No guaranteed outcomes

Nothing on this site is a guarantee of a particular result. Dogs are individuals, households differ, and outcomes depend heavily on how consistently an owner does the work between sessions. Reviews and case descriptions on this site describe what happened for those clients and are not a promise of what will happen for you.

Pricing

Prices shown on this site are current at the time of publication and may change. The price that applies to you is the one quoted when you book. Market rates for other trainers, where cited in our guides, are drawn from published third party sources and are given as ranges for orientation, not as quotes.

Local rules and regulations

Some pages describe leash ordinances and off leash areas across Anchorage and the Mat-Su Valley. Those were verified against city codes and municipal sources when written, and they are provided as useful context rather than as legal advice. Ordinances change, and Anchorage and the Mat-Su Valley contains several separate incorporated cities with their own rules. Confirm current requirements with the relevant city before relying on them.
